The Technical Platform

Bloc opératoire

The Laser Mont-Blanc center is an integral part of the technical platform within the ophthalmic surgery unit at the Hôpital Privé Pays de Savoie.

The ophthalmic surgery unit includes reception areas, 8 preparation boxes, 1 induction room, and 4 operating rooms dedicated to ophthalmology, including one specifically for refractive surgery.

The ophthalmic surgical center officially opened in November 2012.

Class 1000 Certified Operating Room

  • Continuous downward airflow of 200 m³/hour
  • Double airlock system with positive pressure evacuation
  • Constant temperature control
  • Continuous humidity regulation between 35–45%
  • Permanent filtration of particles < 1000/m²
  • Regular bacteriological sampling (under the supervision of the Nosocomial Infection Control Committee)
  • Surface maintenance by specialized personnel and techniques
  • Secured power supply (dual UPS system and hospital-grade backup generator)

The refractive surgery operating unit at Hôpital Privé Pays de Savoie is considered a leading reference in the Geneva region.

Femto laser LDV Z6

The Ziemer Femto LDV Z6 laser represents a significant advancement in Femto-LASIK technology.

It is a high-frequency (5 MHz), non-amplified "cold" laser.
Coupled with an automated centration and adjustment system, it enables precise and atraumatic lamellar cuts.

What makes Ziemer different?
As a pioneer in low-energy femtosecond laser treatments, Ziemer’s low-energy concept ensures maximum precision, minimal tissue damage, fewer side effects, and reduced inflammatory response — all contributing to faster visual recovery.

Laser Excimer EX500 Alcon

The Excimer Laser EX500 is the latest model from Wavelight, a leading operator in the field of refractive surgery.

The high speed of refractive treatments offered by the Wavelight EX500 laser (with a firing rate of 500 pulses per second) helps reduce corneal dehydration and enhances patient comfort. The laser treatment is combined with the use of an eye tracker operating at over 1000 Hz, which minimizes the risk of decentration or irregularities during the procedure.

Iris Recognition : Topolyser Vario

Systematically, each eye is treated in a personalized manner using an automated iris recognition device (Topolyser Vario).

Before each treatment, individual eye recordings are performed to ensure absolute safety during the procedure. Linked to a high-frequency multidirectional eye tracker (1050 hertz), this device is the “cornerstone” of personalized treatment.
